Richard Linklater's Everybody Wants Some trailer is totally '80s

It’s been more than two decades since Richard Linklater helmed Dazed And Confused, his love letter to youth in the 1970s, and now, he’s doing the same thing for the ‘80s.

The new trailer for Linklater’s upcoming comedy Everybody Wants Some follows a group of college baseball players as they learn to cope with impending adulthood. It certainly feels like the slacker comedy sequel to Dazed, but with a decidedly ‘80s twist, from the soundtrack to the shorts.

The ensemble cast includes Blake Jenner, Will Brittain, Zoey Deutch, Ryan Anthony Guzman, Tyler Hoechlin, Glen Powell, and Wyatt Russell.

Everybody Wants Some will kick off this year’s SXSW Film Conference and Festival on March 11 before hitting theaters on April 15. Watch the trailer above.
