Trent Reznor promises new Nine Inch Nails in 2016
Nine Inch Nails fans could soon have more music from the seminal alt-rock group. In his third-ever tweet, Trent Reznor shared Friday afternoon that there’s “new NIN coming in 2016.” And, he added, “other stuff, too.”
If the “new NIN” Reznor promises is an album, it would be Nine Inch Nails’ ninth studio effort and the first since 2013’s Hesitation Marks. Since releasing that record, the prolific rocker has kept busy, touring with Soundgarden in 2014 and helping with the launch of Apple Music this summer.
Earlier this week, Reznor announced a 320-page, limited-edition book titled Cargo In The Blood that details Russell Mills’ artwork for Hesitation Marks.
Reznor told EW in June that he plans to use Apple Music to deliver fresh music to fans, but commented that “right this second, I don’t have a new album coming out.”
