When The CW announced that The 100 would not return until 2016, fans had to settle in for a nine-month wait on answers to the myriad questions posed in the season 2 finale. With roughly one month to go until the post-apocalyptic drama returns, the network is releasing small teases about the new season — but don’t expect any answers yet.

True to The 100 form, the season 3 trailer released earlier this week left us with even more questions, as does this latest look at the new season in the form of key art exclusive to EW. What is this city? The City of Lights? The Ice Nation? Why is it so foggy? And, seriously, why is Clarke’s hair red?
