Great Britain’s first and only ski jumper at the time of the 1988 Winter Games, Eddie Edwards took up the sport less than two years before he competed on the world stage. Ironically nicknamed “The Eagle,” Edwards dreamed of competing at a world-class level despite an utter lack of skills, and his underdog status connected with Olympic fans and is now the subject of the upcoming Eddie the Eagle.

Kingsman: The Secret Service‘s Taron Egerton stars as Edwards, kicking off his journey in the newly released international trailer. Edwards fights doubters and gravity as he prepares to achieve what many considered an unthinkable dream. But Edwards isn’t alone, as a former champion played by Hugh Jackman reluctantly decides to coach Edwards, despite the Eagle’s propensity for crash landings.

Produced by Matthew Vaughn and directed by Dexter Fletcher, Eddie the Eagle also stars Christopher Walken, who makes a brief appearance in new trailer. Eddie the Eagle is set to land in U.S. theaters on Feb. 26.
