Everyone’s talking about the iconic outer space franchise that J.J. Abrams revived — Star Trek of course!

After the trailer for Star Trek Beyond was leaked in German on Monday morning, Paramount Pictures posted the official trailer on YouTube ahead of its scheduled Friday release.

Throughout the trailer, we see the crew of the Starship Enterprise trying to survive on a new, unknown planet after being stranded. The film is directed by Fast & Furious director Justin Lin, who’s taking over Abrams’s spot so he could focus on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. (Abrams is still attached as a producer.) Another change is that Simon Pegg, who portrays Enterprise engineer Montgomery “Scotty” Scott in the films, has taken on some of the writing.

One notable thing about the trailer is the music. Capt. Kirk and his crew hurtle through space to the tune of the Beastie Boys’ 1994 hit “Sabotage.” Perhaps this anachronistic song choice was inspired by the acclaimed Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack, but it works well mashed up with the action and humor highlighted in the trailer. Also, it fits with Kirk’s character, who we actually see listening to “Sabotage” in his father’s car in the first Star Trek reboot.

Star Trek Beyond is scheduled to be released July 22.
