PBS is giving its shows the Talking Dead treatment … only with a podcast.

Masterpiece has announced the launch of Masterpiece Studio, a podcast that will “give an insider’s view to some of the most popular shows presented on Masterpiece, including Downton Abbey and Sherlock,” according to a press release.

The podcast, which will launch Dec. 21 with an interview with Sherlock‘s co-creator Mark Gatiss, will be hosted by television critic Jace Lacob. Following its debut, the Dec. 28 episode will feature a preview for Downton‘s final season.

And as of Jan. 4, Masterpiece Studio will begin releasing a Downton Abbey-themed episode every Monday following the Sunday night broadcast. In other words, it’s another place for Downton fans to go to deal with the fact that their favorite show is coming to an end.
