Comedy fans rejoice — prolific stand-up comedian and actor Norm MacDonald will release his memoir Based On a True Story in fall of 2016, Random House announced Thursday.

In the book, MacDonald will tell the story of his life, growing up in a small Canadian town, gaining fame on Saturday Night Live, and his current status as one of the most recognized comics in the world. MacDonald describes the work as “an unflinching account of how the dirty little business of big-time comedy works.”

MacDonald might be most well-known for his five-year stint on Saturday Night Live from 1993—1998, during which he anchored the Weekend Update desk. After SNL, MacDonald took movie roles in Dirty Work and Billy Madison and lent his recognizable deadpan monotone to voice-over work. He’s also become very well known for his late-night show appearances.

Based On a True Story will be released in fall of 2016.
