Lady Gaga has already nabbed two Emmy nominations and multiple Grammy Awards, and now the actress and musician can add Golden Globe nominee to her list of accomplishments: The American Horror Story: Hotel star got her first-ever Golden Globe nod Thursday — and was understandably thrilled about it.
“I apologize to my neighbors I’m still screaming in my apt in NY!” Gaga tweeted in response to getting recognized for playing Countess Elizabeth on the Ryan Murphy series. “I’m nominated as an actress for a Golden Globe what a dream is this real!”
Yes, Gaga, it’s real. She also expressed her enthuasiasm in a statement where she thanked the Hollywood Foreign Press Association as well as the cast and crew of AHS. “I am too excited for words at this recognition for my work!” she said. “I dreamed endlessly of being in television & film. This is a real honor for a waitress/singer/actress from New York!”
