Showtime has renewed Homeland and The Affair, EW has learned.

Both Homeland, which was picked up for a sixth season, and The Affair, which snagged a third season, returned strong this year, debuting to 2.1 million and 1.05 million total same-day viewers, respectively. Season-to-date, Homeland is averaging 5.5 million weekly viewers across platforms, while The Affair averages 3.8 million. According to Showtime, the shows are the top two rated scripted series on premium cable in the fourth quarter.

Currently airing its second season, Homeland’s upcoming season finale (Sunday, Dec. 20) finds Carrie (Claire Danes) and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) racing to stop a terrorist attack in Berlin. The Affair, meanwhile, will follow with a special 70-minute finale, which will reveal who killed Scotty Lockhart.

Homeland and The Affair air Sundays at 9 and 10 p.m. ET, respectively, on Showtime.
