Laura Dern is the latest addition to the cast of HBO’s Big Little Lies, EW has confirmed. According to Deadline, who first reported the news, she’ll play Renata Klein, a career woman “at the center of schoolyard politics on and off the playground.”

Adam Scott is finding himself in some Big Little Lies.

The Parks and Recreation alum is joining the cast of the HBO drama starring Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman, the network confirmed on Wednesday. Shailene Woodley is also starring in the limited series, according to Kidman, though HBO has yet to confirm.

Big Little Lies is an adaptation of the Liane Moriarty suburban-noir novel of the same name, which centers on a trio of mothers of kindergarten students who are holding onto secrets in their unlikely friendship. Scott will play the supportive husband of Madeline (Witherspoon).
