EW's VH1 special gets 'Big' ratings

Entertainment Weekly’s latest TV special struck a ratings bullseye on Monday night.

The one-hour VH1 Big in 2015 With Entertainment Weekly delivered a strong 2.3 million viewers across two airings.

The special ranked among the night’s top cable entertainment programs, scoring a 1.1 rating among adults 18–49. The event also was the top non-sports cable program in its time slot among women 18–49 and women 18–34.

Hosted by T.I., the evening honored Amy Schumer, Taraji P. Henson, Elizabeth Banks, Aziz Ansari, Nicki Minaj, and the cast cast of Straight Outta Compton, and also featured appearances by Aubrey Plaza, Elle King, Amber Rose, Ice Cube and more.

On social media, the hashtag #BigIn2015 was a trending topic throughout Monday night, and EW’s special cracked the Top 5 in Nielsen’s nightly Twitter TV Ratings.
