Michael Moore is a dangerous man — or so promises the poster for his new documentary Where to Invade Next, debuting below in an EW exclusive.

Though it’s billed as the filmmaker’s “most dangerous comedy,” Where to Invade Next isn’t nearly as hawkish as its title suggests. Taking substantial liberties with the definition of invading, the film follows the director as he humorously occupies other countries, including France, Finland, and Italy, to gather ideas and inspiration for how the U.S. could improve.

Certainly the irony is not lost on Moore, a proud provocateur who just last week sharply criticized the MPAA for denying his appeal to overturn the film’s R rating (for “language, some violent images, drug use and brief graphic nudity”).

“What are they afraid of?” Moore wrote on Twitter. “Sex, Drugs, Truth.”
