Brooklyn Nine Nine: Kathryn Hahn to guest-star
We’ve heard horror stories about Eleanor for years, and now we will finally get to meet Charles’ execrable ex.
Transparent’s Kathryn Hahn will guest-star on Brooklyn Nine-Nine as the infamous former flame whom Charles (Joe Lo Truglio) has disturbingly referred to as Mommy, EW has learned exclusively. Eleanor, as you may recall, cheated on Charles with Sleepy Stu (a.k.a. the guy from the mattress commercials) and this frightful force of nature also served as his landlord with new fiancé Hercules while Charles lived in her basement.
The episode deals with not only a woman from Charles’ past but also one that could be part of his future. In a related story line, Mary Lynn Rajskub returns as Boyle’s current girlfriend, Genevieve.

Hahn was a semi-frequent guest star on another one of co-creator Michael Schur’s shows, Parks and Recreation. In addition to her recurring role on Transparent, she starred in the shortlived Showtime comedy Happyish and guest-starred on Kroll Show earlier this year.
The episode with Hahn will air Jan. 5, christening the cop comedy’s new time slot of Tuesday at 9 p.m. (Fox will run two more Brooklyn episodes in the Sunday-at-8:30 p.m. slot, on Dec. 6 and Dec. 13).
Brooklyn‘s season 3 guest roster also includes Bill Hader, Nick Offerman, Archie Panjabi, and Niecy Nash.
