The Rebels’ journey won’t come to an end this year.

Disney XD has announced that Star Wars Rebels has been renewed for a third season that is currently in production and set to air in 2016, while the second season is set to wrap up in December.

“The creative team behind the series continues to do a brilliant job in delivering on the key tenets that fans have come to expect from a Star Wars property, including adventure, hope and the battle between good vs. evil,” Disney XD’s Marc Buhaj said in a statement.

Season 2 has seen the addition of characters including the Sarah Michelle Gellar-voiced Seventh Sister Inquistor, while Freddie Prinze Jr.’s Kanan, Vanessa Marshall’s Hera, the rest of the Ghost’s crew and more returned from the first season.
