The Force is strong with this ice cream.

As part of these last few weeks of promotion before Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in theaters on Dec. 18, Ample Hills Creamery has unveiled two limited edition Star Wars flavors: The Dark Side (ultra-dark chocolate ice cream with espresso fudge brownies, cocoa crispies, and white chocolate pearls) and The Light Side (bright marshmallow ice cream with homemade crispie clusters, as well as a smattering of handmade cocoa crispies). The ice cream was designed in conjunction with Disney.

“As a sci-fi writer in my past professional life, and a longtime Star Wars fan, this is a dream collaboration. And to be able to work with Lucasfilm and Disney Consumer Products to create new ice cream flavors that represent the two sides of The Force… that might just be the coolest thing we’ve ever done,” Brian Smith, who co-owns Ample Hills Creamery with his wife, Jackie Cuscuna, said in a statement. (Smith worked previously as a writer of science-fiction movies, including one called Bird Flu Horror.)

Star Wars fans can order the ice cream at, where the Star Wars flavors are being sold in four packs of “collectible, reusable plastic pint containers,” designed by Ample Hills Creamery’s Art Director, Lauren Kaelin. Check the pints out below. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is out on Dec. 18.
