Rosie O'Donnell on Donald Trump campaign: 'It's a nightmare'
Rosie O’Donnell only has one adjective in mind to describe Donald Trump’s run for the presidency, and it’s not positive.
During an interview about her upcoming appearance on Empire, O’Donnell was asked about her thoughts on Trump’s campaign, since the two have a famously contentious past. The actress and comedian gave a brief response: “It’s a nightmare. That’s my quote.”

The viewpoint is expected from O’Donnell, not only because she is an outspoken liberal activist, but also because she and Trump have been publicly at odds for years now. Back in 2006, O’Donnell referred to Trump as a “snake-oil salesman” on The View following a controversy with the Miss USA competition — Trump responded by calling her “a real loser” and “a woman out of control.”
More recently, Trump made a jab at O’Donnell on national television during August’s GOP debate. After moderator Megyn Kelly confronted the businessman-turned-candidate on calling women “fat pigs, dogs, slobs, disgusting animals” on his Twitter account, he responded by saying “Only Rosie O’Donnell.” O’Donnell responded with a tweet simply saying, “try explaining that 2 ur kids.”
