Bridget Jones, meet Ed Sheeran.

The singer wrote on Instagram on Monday that he spent a day filming a cameo in the upcoming movie Bridget Jones’s Baby, which reunites Renee Zellweger’s Bridget with her beloved Mark Darcy (Colin Firth).

“Spent the day being an actor in the new Bridget Jones movie,” Sheeran wrote on Instagram. “Loved it, you’re gonna love it too.”

Sheeran has appeared as himself before on shows like Undateable, and he made his acting debut earlier this year on Kurt Sutter’s medieval drama The Bastard Executioner, playing the sadistic protégé of a church leader. Last month, rumors started flying about the singer’s involvement in Bridget Jones when film crews were reportedly seen filming at one his concerts.

The latest installment of Bridget Jones, based on the books by Helen Fielding, follows 2001’s Bridget Jones’s Diary and 2004’s Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. Bridget Jones’s Diary director Sharon Maguire is returning to helm Baby, and Patrick Dempsey has joined the cast. (Hugh Grant, who starred in the first two as Daniel Cleaver, is not returning.)

Bridget Jones’s Baby is set to hit theaters on Sept. 16, 2016.
