Late Night with Seth Meyers - Season 5

John Mulaney watches Family Feud … a lot. But all of that Game Show Network viewing has given the stand-up comedian a surprising takeaway from Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

Mulaney, whose new stand-up special The Comeback Kid is now streaming on Netflix, appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Wednesday and offered up his thoughts on Trump, along with a nice Family Feud basics course for those who may have somehow missed the show over the years.

“He’s not good at running for president, he’s just good at Family Feud, and these other people are terrible at Family Feud,” Mulaney said, explaining how often he catches himself assuming someone’s intelligence solely by their winnings on the game show, a phenomenon he believes is happening with Trump.

Watch the clip below to see how Mulaney explains the parallels to Trump’s campaign.
