Facebook feature lets you limit content from ex
Breaking up is seldom easy, and social media only makes it harder when an ex’s posts periodically pop up. But Facebook is hoping to create a salve to that emotional pain.
The company announced it’s testing tools to limit how much they see of an ex after they’ve changed their relationship status. The primary function consists of seeing “less of a former partner’s name and profile picture around Facebook without having to unfriend or block them. Their posts won’t show up in News Feed and their name won’t be suggested when people write a new message or tag friends in photos.”

Other options include limiting your content your ex can see, edit who’s allowed to see past posts with a former partner, and the ability to remove your tags from these posts. “This work is part of our ongoing effort to develop resources for people who may be going through difficult moments in their lives,” the blog post continues. “We hope these tools will help people end relationships on Facebook with greater ease, comfort and sense of control.”
