Justin Bieber’s Purpose bowed last Friday, and Tuesday night he performed the collection’s most recent single, “Sorry,” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Accompanied by the Roots, Bieber began with just a microphone and a spotlight. Midway thru the song, he picked up the tempo, added some back-up dancers, and inflected the tune with the studio version’s electronic dance beats.

Elsewhere during the show, Bieber also participated in The Tonight Show‘s version of the NASCAR 500 race with racing legend Kevin Harvick.
