Emma Stone was set as Billie Jean King in Battle of the Sexes back in April. Then, she had to drop out for scheduling reasons. Now, she’s back in as King. Stone will go head-to-head against Steve Carell’s Bobby Riggs in the biopic of the seminal tennis match, her publicist confirmed to EW.

The Fox Searchlight production reunites Stone and Carell, who both starred in Crazy Stupid Love. After Stone’s initial departure, Room revelation Brie Larson was negotiating to play King. Filmmakers Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (Little Miss Sunshine) are directing from a script by Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire).

The 1973 exhibition pitted King, a 29-year-old tennis star, against the retired Riggs.

Stone will next appear in La La Land in another Crazy Stupid Love reunion — this time with Ryan Gosling. Meanwhile, Larson will lead The Glass Castle, reteaming her with Short Term 12 helmer Destin Cretton.
