Bon Iver were scarce in 2015, with just one headlining performance closing music festival Eaux Claires. Over the summer frontman Justin Vernon told Grantland the band had no plans to tour after the fest. But Tuesday night, Bon Iver announced a string of tour dates in Asia.

“We’re going because we’ve never been!” the band wrote on Twitter.

When asked about the current status of Bon Iver, Vernon told Grantland, “I’ve been taking it really slow.” He continued, “As far as putting a record together, I don’t really know what’s happening. Our show is our main focus. We don’t have anything booked after this. We don’t have any plans. We’re not being secretive — we just don’t have any plans.”

The group debuted a few new songs at Eaux Claires, so there’s hope for those who catch the tour in Asia to hear more Bon Iver material.
