Two guys who know a thing or four about workplace comedies—John Krasinski, star of the American version of The Office, and Stephen Merchant, co-creator of the original British series—are teaming up to make another one for Adult Swim.
The pair are executive-producing Dream Corp, LLC, which was given a green light by the network on Tuesday. The animated series—which was created by Daniel Stessen (The Gold Sparrow) and has been in development at Adult Swim for more than a year—takes place within the walls of a rundown dream therapy facility. Billed as the first Adult Swim series to use “the latest rotoscope technology,” the show will showcase a rotating roster of despairing patients who have their dreams recorded and analyzed by “Dream Corp’s absent-minded professor, Dr. Roberts (Jon Gries), and his team of unremarkable scientists.”
Production on Dream Corp, LLC begins later this year.
