The Lion Guard: James Earl Jones returns as Mufasa in exclusive clip
- TV Show
The Pride Lands have never been so packed with celebrities before.
A-listers are prowling the territory in Disney Channel’s new original movie The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar, a follow-up to arguably the best animated lion-centric film of all time, 1994’s The Lion King. Most importantly, one major mane is back.
Reprising his role as Mufasa, James Earl Jones is back on board in EW’s new exclusive clip from the film, which will become a television series in January 2016. In the clip, Mufasa speaks to Kion (the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, played by Max Charles) and offers him some assumedly sage advice from the heavens. Also, listen closely and you’ll hear mention of Scar, who’s obviously still kicking around Africa in the form of infamous legend.
