Corinne Foxx, daughter of Jamie Foxx, named Miss Golden Globe
Corinne Foxx will be Miss Golden Globe for the 73rd awards show, the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. announced Tuesday.
The 21-year-old model, USC student, and daughter of Golden Globe winner Jamie Foxx will assist host Ricky Gervais, who is returning for his fourth go-round Jan. 10 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
“I’ve grown up watching my dad establish himself as a well-respected actor,” Foxx said in a statement. “I’m honored … to now share the same stage where he’s been recognized for some of his greatest accomplishments.”
Foxx is the latest in a long line of Miss (and Mister) Golden Globe honorees descended from Hollywood stars, including Greer Grammer, daughter of Kelsey Grammer; Francesca Eastwood, daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher; and Sam Fox, son of Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan.
“We are delighted to have Corinne Foxx continue the tradition,” HFPA President Lorenzo Soria said. “Like her father, she leads a fine example of following her dreams and we can’t wait to see what she does next.”
