Prince postpones European tour dates following Paris attacks
Prince has postponed his European tour dates in response to the recent attacks that left over 120 people dead in Paris this past Friday.
Prince announced the news via a link on his Twitter account that led to the website for Vienna’s Wiener Konzerthaus, one of the venues Prince was set to perform at during his Piano and a Microphone tour. “Due to the tragic events in Paris, the tour promoter has decided to postpone the upcoming European tour until further notice,” a note on the site reads.
This announcement comes the same day as Live Nation’s statement that they have “implemented heightened security procedures globally.” “The safety and security of our shows, fans, and venues continues to be our highest priority,” the company said in the statement.
Along with Prince, artists including U2 and Foo Fighters have also postponed or canceled European dates following the attacks.
