As John Oliver points out, if you’ve watched TV, YouTube, listened to a podcast, or just generally paid attention to advertising in the last few months, you’ve likely seen an advertisement for daily fantasy sports sites like DraftKings and FanDuel. And though those websites claim to not be gambling websites and are “100 percent legal,” Oliver is quite sure that paints an incomplete picture of these sites.

On this week’s Last Week Tonight, Oliver took a look at how these websites classify themselves, and how, despite avoiding the word, gambling seems to be part of the sites’ foundation — this despite all the advertising specifically billing them as skill-based, rather than luck-based entertainment options.
