Shonda Rhimes admits to killing off a character because she didn't like the actor

Who on earth could Shonda Rhimes be talking about?

On a recent installment of The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, Rhimes was asked a question that most Shondaland fans can probably answer for her.

“Have you ever killed off a character because you didn’t like the actor?” asked Wilmore. “And extra bonus points … who was it?”

After the crowd roared, Wilmore added, “Don’t even think about lying. This is your year of yes, Shonda!”

With a knowing smile, the recently-published author of Year of Yes replied, “Uh, yes. And I’m not naming names.”

There have been tons of toe tags dispensed by Rhimes over the last decade — but only one truly rocked her devoted fanbase. (Here’s looking at you, Dr. McDreamy.) But remember, she’s not naming names!
