Ever thought the characters in a Friday the 13th sealed their own doom with their stupid choices? Well, a newly funded Kickstarter game is going to give you the opportunity to prove you could do better and outrun the terrors facing Camp Crystal Lake. Better yet, you can also be the one doing the terrorizing.

Gun Media’s Kickstarter campaign for Friday the 13th: The Game successfully hit its funding goal of $700,000 with only a few days to go before the campaign concludes on, naturally, Friday, Nov. 13. The game takes a unique approach to its set-up, where the gist is that seven players assuming the roles of camp counselors face off against one player taking charge of Jason in an effort to survive the night. But there’s more to the general idea than that — success isn’t dependent on all of the players surviving the night. If you’re a counselor, winning simply requires your survival. So counselors will have to determine how and when to team up, knowing betrayal could lie around every tree in the forest.

Gun Media has also revealed the stretch goals for the campaign, which range from new types of kills harkening back to the film series to new Jason character skins and weapons for the game.

The campaign will remain active until Nov. 13 at 11:59 p.m. ET, so interested players can still contribute to push the game to its goals (the first, set at $725,000 is easily within reach as of press time).

You can watch the trailer and original pitch below to hear more about what the plans are for the game.
