Cast members on MTV’s Are You The One? are notoriously unlucky in love, but have proven to be a slam dunk for the network. MTV has renewed the dating show for a fourth season, EW can exclusively reveal.

AYTO follows 10 men and 10 women who are self-proclaimed bad daters as they try to find their “perfect match” in order to take home $1 million. The show will wrap season 3 with a two-hour season finale airing Wednesday, Nov. 18.

The renewal comes after the show’s highest-rated episode of the season, with a 1.42 P12-34 L+3 rating, representing a 78 percent live versus live and same day. According to the network, it’s on track to beat last season by 8 percent, and the Nov. 4 episode was the show’s highest-rated since the season 1 finale last march.

“We’re blessed to be in a position where we have a TV show that’s doing better than its sophomore season and in this industry that’s rare,” executive producer Jeff Spangler of Lighthearted Entertainment tells EW.

AYTO fans are gonna flip when they see what goes down in the final two episodes of this season, and we can’t wait to bring it back with a new crew of love-seeking singles in season 4,” Lauren Dolgen, MTV’s EVP of Reality Series Development, said in a statement.

Season 3 featured a plot twist in that every time contestants didn’t guess at least one perfect match at the match-up ceremonies — a “blackout” — they would lose $250,000, but Spangler says they haven’t decided on next season’s format just yet. “The blackout was a way to keep them focused on what they’re there for. They all told us they’re looking for love and we incentivize them with money. If we add anything to season 4 it will be something that’s simple and strengthens the format and adds to our story.”

Season 4 will also feature actor Ryan Devlin, who’s hosted the show since its inception. “In the third season the feedback I’ve gotten is when I’m in there and not taking any of the s— from the cast, I’m representing the voice of the fans,” Devlin tells EW of his role. “That’s my job — to represent the viewer, to experience it the way they are.” Because of that, he and the producers decided early on that he would go into each season not knowing who the perfect matches are. “I know a lot more than they know, and I have my hunches, but I don’t know [the matches] ahead of time.”

Are You The One? season 4 does not have a premiere date just yet but is currently casting. Take a sneak peek at Wednesday’s penultimate episode, in which the cast’s exes come for an awkward visit.

Are You The One? airs Wednesdays on MTV at 10 p.m. ET.
