Prince is taking his piano and a microphone on the road for his just-announced (aptly named) Piano and a Microphone tour —he’ll tour without a band — which will include dates in Europe and kick off in Vienna on Nov. 21.

The run will include four dates in the U.K., but the Guardian reports that the final schedule has not been confirmed yet. The paper also confirms that Prince invited European journalists to his home at Paisley Park in Minnesota to detail the tour.

“Why do this now?” Prince told French magazine Funk U. “For several reasons. For starters it is a challenge. I rarely get bad reviews because this is something that’s been perfected 4 over thirty years. You have to try new things. With the piano it is more naked, more pure. You can see exactly what you get.”

This marks the first tour Prince has embarked on since releasing HITnRUN Phase Onethe musician’s 38th studio album — in September.
