Jimmy Fallon has had quite a few hospital visits over the past few weeks. Back in July, he tripped over a rug and almost ripped his finger out of its socket. About a month later, he chipped his tooth while trying to open medication for his finger. And then in late October, he tripped and fell during a visit to Harvard University, injuring his other hand.

So when Fallon returned to Boston on Saturday for the 21st annual Comics Come Home event, he gave a shoutout to the last place he stayed when he was in Massachusetts.

“I was just here two weeks [ago]. I had a great trip!” Fallon joked onstage. “I stayed at a lovely hotel. You may have heard of it — Mass General?”

According to People, Fallon explained that when he was last in town to celebrate his Elmer Award for Excellence in Humor from the Harvard Lampoon, he tripped and fell, injuring his hand. He went on to paraphrase Chumbawamba’s ‘90s classic “Tubthumping” and sing, “I fall down, but I get up again, you’re never gonna keep me down. I take a vodka drink and a Jager drink and a Jager drink…”

“I went to the ER and I said, ‘I tripped holding a bottle of Jagermeister,’” Fallon said. “They said, ‘OK, we have a whole waiting room for people who trip and fall with Jagermeister.’”
