What happens when the father of Westeros meets HBO’s resident Veep? The television crossover of our dreams.

Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin was in Chicago accepting an alumni award from Northwestern University. While catching the football game between his alma mater and Penn State, he crossed paths with Emmy-winning Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, whose son attends Northwestern.

The two marked this meeting of the minds with a photo, which Dreyfus captioned, “Veep of Thrones.” Check it out below.

In celebration of Martin’s attendance at the game, Northwestern’s marching band performed songs from Game of Thrones and the student section also received T-shirts with the Lannister-esque tagline, “The Wildcats send their regards.”
