Johnny Depp is going gnome. Paramount and MGM announced the Oscar-nominated actor will lead the animated Sherlock Gnomes, produced by Elton John.

It’s a sequel to 2011’s Gnomeo & Juliet, led by James McAvoy and Emily Blunt. Both will return for the sequel, which details the disappearance of a slew of gnomes. Concerned, Gnomeo and Juliet call in the legendary Sherlock Gnomes to work the mystery.

The original film raked in nearly $200 million worldwide and gathered solid reviews. No other cast members from Gnomeo & Juliet, like Michael Caine and Jason Statham, have been confirmed to return.
