Mr. Outsider is now Mr. Understood. Eric Church, Nashville’s resident outlaw, surprised members of his fan club (“The Church Choir”) this week with a surprise album. According to Taste of Country, the 10-track set, dubbed Mr. Misunderstood leads off with the titular song and ends with a new track, “Three Year Old.”

Church unveiled the latter tune, inspired by his son Boone McCoy, at an acoustic show at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater in late July.”

Reps for Church did not respond to EW to confirm details about the release. But dozens of fans have uploaded screenshots and images of the album.

Church will open the CMA Awards ceremony tonight, performing with Hank Williams Jr. to cover Waylon Jennings’ “Are You Ready for the Country.” Church is already an early winner at this years’ ceremony, winning for Musical Event of the Year for his collaboration with Keith Urban, “Raise ‘Em Up.”

The CMAs air tonight at 8p.m. ET on ABC.
