Sometimes taking candy from a baby can land someone on television. Such is the case with Jimmy Kimmel’s YouTube challenge, “I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy,” which encourages parents to prank their children about the status of their Halloween bounty.

“We never seem to run out of participants for this,” Kimmel said before the segment. “Every year, I think kids are going to know: they watch these videos, maybe they’re too old to fall for it. I will be able to do this as long as people continue to have sex.” According to the host, the Jimmy Kimmel Live! producers received a record number of submissions.

What to expect from the videos? One little girl’s wail sums it up: “I wanted to try Skittles!”
