Back to The Future fans buy up Pepsi Perfect in minutes

After the first wave of Pepsi Perfect bottles went on sale hours before expected, Back to The Future fans got a second chance at acquiring the beverage inspired by the movie’s sequel on Tuesday. Pepsi released a second batch of Pepsi Perfect for preorder at 9 a.m. ET, but the company reported that the beverages — which were limited to one per customer — sold out by 9:11 a.m. ET.

In addition to the rapid sales, the next wave of Pepsi Perfect drinks won’t ship out until Dec. 26.

Pepsi wasn’t the only company to honor the Oct. 21, 2015 date Marty McFly traveled to in Back to the Future Part II. USA Today recreated the front page seen in the movie, an issue that sold out in record time.
