Spoiler Room: Supergirl, HTGAWM, Once Upon a Time, more spoilers
Welcome to the Spoiler Room, a safe place for spoiler addicts to come on a weekly basis to learn what’s coming next on their favorite shows and, hopefully, get a few of their own questions answered. If you want scoop on a specific show, send your questions to email@example.com.
When is Maxwell Lord going to pop up on Supergirl? — Dana
You’ll get your first glimpse at Peter Facinelli’s morally ambiguous businessman in Monday’s episode, and he definitely has a very strong opinion about Supergirl. But it’s another lady he’ll be going toe-to-toe with soon: Cat Grant. “They’re two of the most powerful people in the city, so there will always be a tête-à-tête, a little sexual chemistry between them,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg says. “They have some fun scenes together in episode 3.”
I’m speechless over the Trotter Lake reveal during How to Get Away with Murder. What’s next? — Helena
We will find out much more about what actually happened that night soon. “The true details of what happened that night are sort of always a little muddy, as they often are in these actual situations in life, which is incredibly unfortunate,” Matt McGorry says. “Individual perception and intoxication make things a very complicated issue. Unlike murder, there’s no such thing as justifiable rape. It’s very tricky because we also live in a society that tends to not believe the victim and tends to side with the aggressor or at least give them the benefit of the doubt, and that makes for a very complicated story line.” More complicated is what this means for Asher’s relationship with Bonnie, a survivor of assault. “There’s a lot they have to navigate through and try to figure out how to proceed, if they even want to proceed, and if Bonnie can really forgive him,” he adds.
Did Emma have to crush a heart to cast this new curse on Once Upon a Time? — Kat
“Yes,” EP Edward Kitsis says. “Can’t make a dark curse without crushing the heart of the thing you love most.” Which begs the question whether someone in Storybrooke pulled a Snowing and split their heart. “There’s other stuff going on than what appears on the surface right now,” EP Adam Horowitz says. Adds Kitsis: “The question you’re asking is whose heart is it and is someone going to die? We’re not going to answer that, but we will say the information you need to guess has not appeared yet … or has it.”
I need anything Blindspot! — Tanya
I can exclusively reveal that Homeland actress Sarita Choudhury will guest-star in an upcoming episode. Though details on her role are being kept under wraps, a little birdie let slip that she has a connection to Mayfair. Make of that what you will.
Now that Sara’s on the loose, will she target Thea on Arrow? — Ana
You betcha, though others will pay the price in the process. Fortunately, John Constantine pays a visit to Star City to hopefully save the day. (Let’s be real, he will save the day since Sara will be featured on Legends of Tomorrow.) But how Oliver and Constantine are connected explains a burning question I’ve had for a long time.
Excited about the new Firestorm coming to Legends of Tomorrow. Is there anything you can tease? — David
Sure, they’re a functional team now, but once Stein and Jax are working together full-time, some of their idiosyncrasies will be thrown into sharp relief. “The idea of a second Firestorm being somebody who was just in his early 20s, somebody who was radically different from this Firestorm, so here you got to see the camaraderie, and when you see Legends, you’re going to see a lot more of the, ‘What the hell are you talking about? Why are we doing this?’ while they’re merged,” EP Andrew Kreisberg teases. “There’s a lot more room for comedy with the Firestorm character than we previously had before. It’s a freshness and an excitement.”
Can you ask the Castle heads when will they deal with Castle’s disappearance again this season? They have teased they will. — Rida
And they meant it, too. “We can definitively say that that’s coming up in the middle part of the season,” showrunner Alexi Hawley says. “We’re definitely going to go there probably in the episode 14 area — 13, 14, 15 — something like that. We’re still nailing down the specifics, but we want to get into that. We want to, as we promised at the beginning of the season, tie that in to some of the stuff that we set up at the beginning of the season.” See, they haven’t forgotten.
Is Kol ever coming back on The Originals? — Vanessa
Don’t worry, no one has forgotten about present-day Kol. Not only is Rebekah still off trying to find a way to bring him back, but there’s another woman who could play a role in his potential return. “[Kol] was the first person who got her,” Danielle Campbell says of Davina. And although Davina thinks her last chance of bringing him back was taken from her, Campbell adds, “I don’t see her stopping if something comes up. I easily see her rushing toward it.” Here’s hoping she puts that regent power to good use.
Elementary is finally returning. Do you have anything other than scoop on Sherlock’s father? — Tim
Even though Sherlock and Joan are on thin ice after the former nearly beat a man to death, they duo will still be investigating a particularly twisted case in the opening hour that hails from the Arthur Conan Doyle library. “The case in the premiere is inspired by The Adventure of Wisteria Lodge,” EP Rob Doherty teases. “So, there are bits and pieces that will be very familiar to people who know that story.”
Does Narcisse and Lola’s marriage mean the end of Narcisse and Catherine on Reign? — Sasha
Not exactly. Once Francis dies, there’s going to be a new reason for Narcisse and Catherine to come together. “[Francis’ death] shifts the power dynamic at court between Narcisse and Catherine,” showrunner Laurie McCarthy says. “There’s going to be a huge battle for the regency coming up and a blossoming relationship between Catherine and Narcisse, because his ambition is going to be awakened again.” So the question is: Does Narcisse love Lola or power?
Best news I’ve heard all week: Once Upon a Time‘s worst parent ever is coming back!
