The Star Wars creator, and director of four of the franchise’s installments, is one of a number of celebrities to ask Abrams a question in a new video posted by Vanity Fair.

“J.J., what happened to Darth Vader’s grandchildren?” Lucas asks via a video that Abrams plays on an iPad.

“Oh, George,” Abrams says in the clip, “this is great.” After a laugh, Abrams responds: “You tell me man. You made all this sh– up. “

Lucas wasn’t the only person to ask about Star Wars — Jared Leto wanted to know why he wasn’t playing Chewbacca, for instance? — but Abrams, master of the Mystery Box, kept his lips sealed. Maybe that’s because celebrities weren’t asking the right questions: If Kylo Ren isn’t a Sith, what is the extent of his Force powers? Who else outside of the Jedi and Sith can tap into the Force? Did Stephen Colbert really guess the Force Awakens plot? Mysteries. Watch below.
