Fox’s modern-day Frankenstein series? It’s alive! … but will be missing a couple parts.

The network has reduced its order for midseason series Lookinglass from 13 to 11 episodes,EW has learned.

If that name doesn’t too sound familiar, here’s another: The Frankenstein Code (which was the project’s original title).

A Fox insider says that the decision is entirely based on the network’s scheduling needs; with a midseason lineup including The X-Files, Lucifer, Gotham, Empire, Rosewood, Sleepy Hollow and Bones, that 11 hours of Lookinglass is all the network requires.

Lookinglass is a modern-day series inspired by Mary Shelley’s classic novel about a corrupt sheriff who is killed, then brought back to life in the body of a younger man (Rob Kazinsky) to fight crime.

Fox’s midseason schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. Here’s the Lookinglass trailer:
