PlayStation sent PewDiePie a custom controller in a birthday cake
It’s good to be PewDiePie. Not only did Felix Kjellberg top Forbes’ list of the highest-paid YouTube stars, bringing in an estimated $12 million over the past year, but he also has the most YouTube subscribers in history, with more than 40 million. And now, he got to celebrate his 26th birthday with a cake sent by PlayStation — with a custom controller inside.
PewDiePie tweeted a few photos of the cake, complete with button decorations and “Greatness awaits inside” written in icing. “I went for a late snack, but found a treasure!” he wrote on Twitter.
YouTube recently announced that its new subscription service, YouTube Red, will soon debut a reality-adventure series called Scare PewDiePie, which will feature PewDiePie encountering “terrifying situations inspired by his favorite video games.” The creator and executive producers of The Walking Dead at Skybound Entertainment are set to produce with Maker Studios.
