Rihanna is joining Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHaan in Luc Besson’s adaptation of French graphic novel series Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, the director announced on Instagram Wednesday.

“RIHANNA is in VALERIAN!!!!” Besson wrote in the caption. “…and she has a big part!! I’m Sooo excited!!!”

Although Rihanna is primarily known for her music, she’s no stranger to Hollywood: She starred in 2012’s Battleship and this year’s Home, and made cameos in both 2014’s Annie and 2013’s This is the End.

Besson — who directed 2014’s Lucy and is associated with the Taken series — hasn’t announced who Rihanna will play, but has been candid about the difficulty of adapting and filming Valerian, calling it “the biggest challenge of my career.”

“I have around 800 days of work ahead of me, plenty of time to be discouraged or feel lonely, so I’m counting on your support,” he wrote on his Facebook page in July. “I will try to share my adventure with you as much as I can.”

The sci-fi film is set to debut sometime in 2017. See Besson’s Instagram below.
