Live By Night: Ben Affleck posts first shot from the set of Dennis Lehane adaptation

Ben Affleck’s Live By Night may have been delayed by its director’s caped commitments, but it’s still powering ahead; the film adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s Prohibition-set crime novel began shooting today.

The actor otherwise known as Batman marked the occasion by tweeting a picture of the film’s first shot. As you might expect, the image doesn’t offer a lot of information, just a man and a boy (in what certainly looks like early-20th-century garb). See below. 

Live By Night is currently set for an October 2016 release. Affleck stars in the film, alongside Sienna Miller, Elle Fanning, and Zoe Saldana.
