U2 invites Noel Gallagher to perform 'I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For' onstage
U2 brought out a special guest to perform at the London stop on their Innocence + Experience tour Monday night: Noel Gallagher. Bono invited the Oasis frontman onstage to help sing the Joshua Tree classic, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” and cover the Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love.”
“I’d like to bring out of one my heroes, one of the band’s heroes to help us out with this next song,” Bono told the audience. “Will you welcome to the stage the high flying bird himself Noel Gallagher.”
Bono spoke about the tour and U2’s new music in a recent interview with EW and mentioned another time Gallagher came to a show. “We’re playing out of our skins at the moment,” Bono told EW. “It’s pathetic it took us 35 years to be the band we’ve always wanted to be. It’s a wild thing to be in it. Our friend, Noel Gallagher, came to a show and said to us, ‘You’re starting with the encore?’”
