Stanley Tucci tells Mark Ruffalo how the Catholic Church owns Boston in exclusive Spotlight clip
Boston Globe reporters won a Pulitzer for their investigation into sexual abuse allegations in the Catholic Church — and accusations that Church officials knew about the abuse and covered it up. But before the Globe started looking into the story, one of the Church’s only critics was a lawyer named Mitchell Garabedian, who represented multiple abuse victims.
Spotlight tells the true story of the Globe reporters’ investigation, and in this exclusive clip, journalist Michael Rezendes (Mark Ruffalo) has pestered Garabedian (Stanley Tucci) long enough that the attorney, a relative outsider in Boston’s most prestigious circles, tells him exactly where he has to look to get answers… or at least the proper questions.
Directed by Tom McCarthy, who co-wrote the script with Josh Singer, Spotlight also stars Liev Schreiber, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, John Slattery, and Brian d’Arcy James.
Spotlight arrives in theaters on Nov. 6.
