Howard Stern urges Jimmy Kimmel to reignite the late night wars
- TV Show
Howard Stern doesn’t like Jay Leno. This isn’t news to anyone who’s followed the late night landscape in the past 20 years. So on Friday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Stern asked Kimmel how he felt about Leno and the rest of current late night hosts.
“The reason you don’t like Jay, if I can reveal this to America, is because you just don’t like Jay,” Stern told Kimmel.
The host insisted he didn’t hate Leno, but like Stern, was not on the friendliest of terms with the former Tonight Show host.
Stern urged Kimmel to restart the late night wars, ignoring Kimmel’s sentiment that it’s now a “friendlier time” in late night.
The radio host then asked Kimmel to reveal his true feelings about Jimmy Fallon.
“I actually like him a lot, you know that is true,” Kimmel said.

But Stern was relentless.
