Conan: Larry King discusses Cubs loss
The Chicago Cubs are officially out of contention to win this year’s World Series. Though Back to the Future Part II predicted a Cubs win in 2015, the New York Mets swept the team in the best-of-seven National League Championship Series, and eliminated any possibility of that coming to fruition.
“No fans, in any sport, have suffered more than Cubs fans,” Conan O’Brien said on Thursday night’s episode of Conan.
It’s been 107 years (1908) since the Cubs last World Series win, so the host tried to give reeling Chicacgo fans some perspective, bringing out some experts to cheer them up.
A geologist came out and said how 107 years is “just the blink of an eye” in geological time.
An astronomer said the Universe is 13.8 billion years old, so 107 years is “just the tiniest of blips.”
And the most qualified expert, Larry King gave possibly the best insight. “Take it from me, 107 years is nothing,” King said.

King then put on his Dodgers hat and swiftly turned and exited, something O’Brien made his staff replay in slow motion.
