When Bradley Cooper brought up his cousin on Thursday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host knew immediately who the actor was talking about, calling him his “infamous cousin Colin.”

The Burnt star said he brings his cousin everywhere, even to Hollywood meetings.

Cooper recounted a story of taking a meeting for an unspecified superhero movie (Green Lantern?), and bringing his cousin along for the ride.

“We’re in the waiting room and I said, ‘Okay I’m just gonna go to the bathroom; I’ll be right back,’” Cooper said. “He’s like ‘Yeah, bro, whatever you need to do.'”

When the actor came back, his cousin was gone.

“So I go to the desk: ‘I’m sorry have you seen a stout Italian man?’ And her face went completely white.”

The actor then found his cousin in the meeting intended for Cooper, speaking with the studio head and director. “He’s like, ‘Bro, I don’t know what’s going on.’”

“The big question is: who brings their cousin to a meeting with them?” Kimmel asked Cooper.

Cooper said he thinks it’s an “East Coast thing.”
