Hologram USA is bringing back two comedy legends for one last laugh. In 2016, late comedians Andy Kaufman and Redd Foxx will be the first comedians to tour America as holograms.

Fresh off of annoucing hologram tours for Billie Holiday and Whitney Houston, Hologram USA is teaming up with CMG Worldwide and FilmOnStudios to recreate Kaufman and Foxx’s famous routines for a one-of-a-kind stand-up tour. The hologram acts will include highlights of the two great comedic careers, such as Kaufman’s hilariously awkward Mighty Mouse bit and Foxx’s famous fake heart attacks.

Although both comics have been dead for over two decades (Kaufman died of lung cancer in ’84 and Foxx died of a heart attack in ’91), their influences on modern comedy and pop culture is undeniable. Carl Reiner, Jim Carrey, and Richard Lewis have all cited Kaufman’s originality and experimental stye as a major influence on them, and Richard Pryor, Chris Rock, and Jamie Foxx were all greatly influenced by Foxx’s explicit, confrontational sets and the breakthroughs he made for black comics.
