Some things never change. Even as we get farther and farther from pop punks’ early-2000s heydey, that eternal feeling of angst remains and the boys of Panic! At the Disco are still here to address it. After a few months of singles, the band officially announced a new album, Death of a Bachelor, due out Jan. 15, 2016.

“When I was a little kid and I heard a song I liked on tv, I would jump up and run to the piano to try and figure it out by ear,” singer Brendan Urie (the only remaining founding member) wrote on the band’s Facebook page. “Death Of A Bachelor is in honor of those times I spent alone as a kid. Allowing music to consume me. Playing everything myself just to get the idea right and out of my head. It’s a beginning to a new era. And an homage to how it all began. This album is me. Running to the piano. Building a drum kit. Strumming a guitar.“

Panic! At the Disco also released a music video for a third single from the album, “Emperor’s New Clothes.” Watch below. It’s available for download after pre-ordering Death of a Bachelor, along with previously released singles “Victorious” and “Hallelujah.”
